Kenny’s Farmstead is nestled in the rolling hills of Southern Kentucky, just above the Tennessee border. The dairy strove to set a new standard of dairy farming in the area and set the cows to pasture and ensured comfort of the cows. Gentle handling of the animals led to better milk, more cows and cheesemaking. Now they milk about 130 cows and make several different cheeses. Norwood is a well balanced blend of styles, cheddar, alpine and gouda. Notes of sweetness and nuts underlays the acidity that is prominent, but the nutty notes linger on the finish. Pair with a sparkling rose with notes of berries.
